Chiropractic marketing, and the honest truth about your radius

Wingman Digital helps chiropractic practices understand where patients can find them in local search. Start with a map of your visibility, then prioritize your profile, condition pages and the neighborhoods you want to reach.

Proximity is the dominant factor, and that cuts both ways

Somebody with a stiff neck is not driving 40 minutes for an adjustment. They search, they look at the three practices Google puts on the map, and they call one nearby, often in under two minutes.

Inside your real radius, though, the work compounds fast. Profile depth, condition pages, and directory consistency can flip a neighborhood from invisible to first in a matter of months.

What nobody tells you is the other half. An agency promising map-pack rankings across an entire county is either going to fail or bill you for two years of trying. Ask them for a map of the whole area with your current positions on it, then ask which of those points they think are winnable.

Your address is only one search location

Someone searching near your practice may see different results from someone across town. A visibility audit checks those differences so you can decide which neighborhoods and services deserve attention.

Distance, relevance and prominence affect local results. The illustration does not define a fixed ranking radius.

The map is not the only way people find you

That radius is a limit on the map pack specifically, and the map pack is not the whole of search. Three other channels reach further, and they matter more the further out you go.

  • Organic results are not distance-capped the same way.

A page about auto injury care can rank for someone researching from well outside your map radius, because a page competes on what it answers rather than only on how close it is.

  • AI assistants recommend across a wider area.

When somebody asks an AI assistant for a chiropractor, the answer is assembled from pages, profiles, directories, and reviews rather than from a proximity grid, and it regularly names businesses further out than the map pack would show.

  • Paid search puts you wherever you are willing to bid.

Ads have no radius problem. They have a cost problem, which is a different conversation and one worth having honestly.

So the radius tells you where the free, high-intent map traffic realistically stops. It does not tell you the edge of your market. Knowing both is what lets you decide where the next dollar goes.

Five things that work differently for a chiropractic practice

  • A patient is worth far more than their first visit.

Chiropractic care is repeat care, so the audit projects lifetime value rather than a first-visit number.

  • Everybody runs the same new-patient offer.

The $49 exam and the free consultation are on nearly every competitor's page in your area. A discount is not a differentiator when it is the category default.

  • Insurance versus cash changes the whole page.

A cash practice and an insurance practice attract patients through completely different searches, and a site that hedges loses both.

  • Condition pages beat service pages.

Sciatica, lower back pain, auto injury, and sports injury are how patients describe themselves. "Spinal adjustment" is how you describe what you do. Only one of those is being typed into Google.

  • Reviews get chased by condition, not by volume.

A handful of reviews naming what the patient came in for does more than a long list saying the staff were friendly.

What a 49-point grid moving actually looks like

We have not run a chiropractic practice, so here is the closest thing we have: another local practice, patients rather than customers, measured on the same 49-point grid.

A South Florida animal hospital. At the baseline on 10 February 2026 it held a top-three position at 2 of 49 points, at an average position of 4.9 across the grid. By 7 September 2026 that was 32 of 49 and an average of 2.7, where lower is better.

An animal hospital is not a chiropractic office. What makes it the right comparison is that both live or die by proximity, both get chosen quickly, and both get measured the same way.

What it costs

Plans start at $1,497 a month, and the pricing page lists what each plan covers so you can read it before speaking to anyone. Four-month initial term, then month to month with 30 days notice. No setup fee, and your Google Business Profile is included.

Map rankings tend to move around month three, non-branded website traffic in month four or five. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is still either guessing or lying.

They have helped generate organic leads through Google listings and an enhanced website. I receive compliments every week at how great our Google page and website are from clients.

Common questions

How do chiropractors get more new patients online?

Through the Google map, mostly, because patients search for a practice near them and choose quickly. That means a fully built Google Business Profile, a page for each condition treated, condition-specific reviews, and consistent directory listings. Wingman Digital maps where a practice ranks before recommending anything.

Why do I rank near my office but not across town?

Proximity carries heavy weight in the Google map pack, so a profile that has not been built to depth ranks only in a tight cluster around its address. Building out services, condition pages, reviews, and citations extends that cluster, though not infinitely. Organic results, AI recommendations, and paid ads all reach further.

Does a new-patient special help me rank?

Not directly, and nearly every competitor in your area is running one, so it rarely differentiates either. What helps is a page explaining what you treat and what a first visit involves, because that is what somebody comparing three practices is actually reading.

How much does chiropractic marketing cost?

Local service businesses are commonly quoted $2,000 to $4,000 a month across the industry. Wingman Digital plans start at $1,497 a month, and the pricing page lists what each plan covers. That includes your Google Business Profile, built out and managed.

Have you worked with chiropractic practices?

Not yet. The closest comparable result is another local practice measured on the same 49-point grid, a South Florida animal hospital that went from 2 of 49 top-three positions to 32. It is not a chiropractic office, which is why it is labeled as what it is. The free audit is how you judge the work first.
